Shared Memories
Pick someone you’ve known for a while. A close friend, a sibling. Someone with a shared history and shared memories.
Together, pick one of those memories. Don’t talk about it in any depth, just decide which memory you want to remember.
On your own, think of as many details about that memory as you can. If it helps, use these questions to get started.
Record a video of yourself telling the story of that memory.
Swap videos with your partner. Watch it on your own. Enjoy. Discuss.
Alternate Ending: Instead of swapping videos with your partner, send both videos to someone else. Have this third person watch your videos and report back the gaps and overlaps to you both.
Alternate Beginning: Instead of one person, do this with multiple people who all share the same memory.
